Best GMAT App!

Ive been meaning to start practicing for the GMAT for some time since I will be taking it next summer. I downloaded a bunch of GMAT apps that I found in the App Store, some of which included video tutorials and what not. I was not really practicing with the other apps though, as they dont really track your progress and help you find out where you went wrong and how to improve. The Economists GMAT app is the whole opposite. It is designed to be extremely intuitive and user-friendly and helps you track your progress along the way. It teaches you how to use the most fundamental techniques for the GMAT from the very beginning, such as ballparking, and how to apply it to the different types of questions. Overall, best GMAT app I could possibly imagine - I even doubt if taking the GMAT class is worth it anymore as Ive seen tremendous progress just from using the app!

Great program and app

Love that this allows me to access GMAT prep anywhere. On the bus to work or waiting for an appointment, Im able to squeeze in a few minutes of practice time.

Adaptive tutorial

A great course, ably providing introduction, advancement or even a simple refresher for the adept GMATer. Good stuff.

Engaging

Like the other reviewers I have been trying to star practicing for the GMAT for a while and non of the apps I previously downloaded presented me with the experience and level of engagement that The Economist does. I highly recommend this app, it gives you tips, engage you with the questions and answers, and explain what you did wrong on each question.

Extremely good

Very well organized and presented. The step by step approach is excellent. Legitimately worth 5 stars.

Boo

This app acts like it will help but I am pretty sure its just a set up to get your email info. The "class" I took was an intro and nothing more...theres nothing to do in the app past that. Dont bother downloading.

Good except answer choice selection

The app is good except that on a tablet sometimes it thinks you click something you didnt and once you click near an answer choice it doesnt let you change it.

Technical issues keep it from 5 stars

For an app that uses touch navigation, it sure does like to cover the screen with touchable buttons, such that by the time one scrolls to the answers... one has already been selected for them (by way I their fingers touching the screen to scroll to the answers). This would naturally throw off the entire purpose and claim of this app, which is to adapt and structure questions based on individual strengths (which are no doubt determined by the answers selected). This all would be more effective if a the slightest touch wouldnt pick an answer for users. Please make the app more robust. Questions are great... Methodology is great... Execution is terrible.

New version stopped working

Was in love with this app until I updated it with the oct 29 version. The app doesnt even open anymore! One month out from my test and Im on the road without my study material - not happy. Hoping tech support can provide a solution.

Works just like the web version

I have had no problems using this app. But i must add that i never downloaded io7 on my 4s, so most of my apps are working great.

Best GMAT Prep app Ive ever used

No GMAT iPhone app Ive found has yet to come close to being as thorough, personalized and effective as this app.

Good App, but frustrating bugs

App is generally very good and is an awesome way to study for a few minutes here and there. That said though, the most basic feature of choosing either quant only, verbal only, or both DOES NOT WORK. I would very much like to study just some verbal right now, but I cant. Frustrating.

Love it!

Great to squeeze in a few minutes of study time while in the go.

Good but very expensive!!!

After the 7 day trial, one would need to pay a 3 month subscription fee, starting at $750. I would, except that I cant afford the price tag. I live on a budget. So Ill resort to a much economic method of studying.

The best app but too expensive

I like it but its really expensive. Ill not buy it.

Deceptive, misleading

Be warned: this is not really an app; its better described as adware. The only thing you get when you download this app is the dubious benefit of having your name added to a mailing list in order to receive ads to buy what you think you are getting when you download this alleged app.

Excellent material

Tried the free 7 day app, and the quality of material and educational strategies are truly outstanding...

Great app, but too expensive

I absolutely loved the app, but it is way expensive after the trial. Also, the constant sales emails are annoying.

Helped me score a 720!

I tried several approaches to studying for the GMAT and ultimately found The Economist app to be the best. It is very user-friendly, high quality, adapts to your weaknesses, and is easy to use on the go. For anyone with a busy schedule who also needs to find time to study for the GMAT this will prove to be a great resource and study tool. And for those who think they should be getting a free app, maybe business school will help you understand why you are not.

Best resource.. For 2nd timers.

Amazing platform.. Reliable corporation.. --- I said this on day one and I still say it today: "you will not go wrong working with the Economist Corp." --- I am an international student. I was studying for 3 months (2-3 hours p/day) and got a score of 350. Later on, I subscribed to this platform and completed 70% of the course and my score was improved by 150 points.. in about 2 months (2-3 hours p/day) --- Basically this platform teaches you exactly what the GMAT is all about. --- I highly recommend this platform, especially for non native speakers like myself. Good luck!
